Two pots, one made of earthenware and one made of brass were floating down a river.

"Stay close to me," said the brass pot."I am strong. I will look after you."

"It is kind of you to offer," replied the earthenware pot, "but that is just what I don't want to do. If you will only stay away from me I shall float along quite safely. But if I knock into you I shall break into little pieces."
